Best Supporting Actress (1974) for Paper Moon
O'Neal remains the youngest person ever to win a competitive Academy Award, having been honoured for her performance in 1974's Paper Moon at the age of 9. She appeared in a number of other films, and had a brief relationship with Michael Jackson in the late 1970s, before she went on a partial career hiatus in 1986 after marrying tennis star John McEnroe. The marriage ended in divorce in 1994 amid a series of drug allegations, and she began making more frequent acting appearances during the 2000s, before appearing in US reality TV show Dancing With The Stars in 2006.
