Best Supporting Actress (1993) for The Piano
Paquin became the second youngest Academy Award winner in history when she was honoured for her performance in The Piano at the age of 11. She returned to prominence in 2006 when she was cast as Rogue in X-Men: The Last Stand, before gaining international fame for her role as waitress Sookie Stackhouse in HBO vampire series True Blood. She and co-star Stephen Moyer caused excitement among the show's fans when it emerged they had been dating since filming the series pilot in 2007, and the couple were married in 2010.
