Kathryn Bigelow made history when she became the first female to take home the Best Directing Oscar for her Iraq war drama film, "The Hurt Locker" at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. She seemed genuinely shocked to take the top prize, but it was probably because she didn't think she would beat her ex-husband, James Cameron, who was also in the running for his film, "Avatar."
