After LL Cool J's opening remarks, Bruno Mars kept the energy high and earned a standing ovation with a James Brown-style soul revivalist routine. The pint-sized pop star looked dapper on the Grammy stage in a glowing, gold blazer that practically matched his skin tone. Viewers just tuning in could be forgiven if they thought they were tuning in to the Oscars.
