While not actually nominated at the Spirit Awards, hunky young actor Zac Efron took a star turn on the carpet that ran alongside Santa Monica beach. His presence at the awards was lightly felt; he merely introduced one of the musical entertainment acts before slinking off into the background, never to be spotted again.
