There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when this end-of-life drama screened in Cannes and it duly went on to win the Palm D’Or. It’s Austria’s entry for the Foreign Language category and seems likely to be battling it out with Untouchable. Time for the Academy to notice beloved arthouse director Michael Haneke?
