Skyfall
Bond fans have long lamented the lack of recognition the franchise gets come Oscar season but in many cases you can see the Academy’s point. Not so with Skyfall, a slick, well-rounded action thriller with an awards-worthy performance from Judi Dench (sorry Daniel). Could the great Dame be up for Best Supporting Actress? It’s another open field at this stage.
