'Supersize Me' - 2004

This American documentary followed Morgan Spurlock over 30 days during which he only ate McDonalds and detailed the impact this had on his weight and health. The documentary was first shown in 2004 at Sundance where it won Spurlock a directing award. A film was then made from it and released in cinemas in June 2004. It became the 12th highest grossing documentary of all time, pulling in $20 million.
