This Jared Hess film about a boy dealing with his bizarre family life and friendships was picked up by Fox Searchlight and Paramount Pictures at the 2004 Sundance festival following the film's debut. Despite encountered mixed reviews, the indie film developed a large cult following and netted over $49 million at box offices worldwide.
