Ted and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane was on his best behaviour opening the show with some PG jokes and low blows. "And the quest to make Tommy Lee Jones laugh begins now," he kicked off, to which Tommy Lee, with more than three hours of the show left to go, actually laughed. Guess everyone can now go home. No? MacFarlane continued with a dig at Argo, a film that was such a top secret that even the director was unknown to the academy.
