Notwithstanding the technicalities that allow AHS: Coven in this category, Top of the Lake was a rather challenging riff on the police procedural, which we all believed to be a frontrunner. Be that as it may, the big name stars in Behind the Candelabra once again ensured its winning streak as the best TV movie, while Top of the Lake earned some stripes with Elisabeth Moss’ win for best actress in her role as Robin. We think she deserves an extra special prize for giving the finger to the E! mani-cam earlier on the red carpet.
