No doubt the Academy doesn't call it the Death Reel, but an annual part of the ceremonies is a tribute to all those filmmakers and artists who died during the course of the year. Among those fallen were Elizabeth Taylor, Peter Falk, Whitney Houston, director Sidney Lumet and iconoclast Ken Russell. Steve Jobs made the list, too, which makes sense given his hand in developing Pixar.
