It's not that John Ford's adaptation of the Richard Llewellyn novel How Green Was My Valley was bad - in fact, it's considered a classic, and boasts Hollywood heavyweights Walter Pidgeon and Maureen O'Hara amongst its cast - but Citizen Kane (1941) is the best movie ever made, right?
