Kareena goes de-glam

Though the film is in its pre-production stage, reports suggest that Kareena will be playing the role of Begum Samru in Tigmanshu's period drama. A source informs us, "It's a period drama, so Kareena will be sporting a different look in the film. Unlike all her previous roles, she will go de-glam. She has not sported this particular look in any of her films before. Her audience will be really surprised to see her in this new avatar."

The source continues, "It's almost like Kareena will be stepping into her sister, actor Karisma's shoes. Karisma is still applauded for her performance in 'Zubeidaa' (2001) and it appears that Kareena's role will be quite similar to that of Karisma's."

"Kareena wants to work with Tigmanshu. She has seen all his films and is looking forward to start shooting. She has already started looking out for wardrobe options, that are apt for the film. She wants to look her best in the film, despite it being de-glam. Kareena is taking special care of her entire ensemble for the film," the source further adds.

Kareena's official spokesperson says, "It's too early to talk about the details of the film, but Kareena is definitely excited about the film."
