Working together in Bollywood, South films unwise: Chakravarthy

"You can't try to make films at both the places. You need to be either in Bollywood or in South. You have to completely shift your base to Mumbai (for Hindi cinema) because working in both the industries is a bad idea. You can't try to please both the parties," he told us in an interview.
His next Bollywood venture is Ram Gopal Varma's 'Bhoot Returns', a sequel to 2003 released 'Bhoot'.
Chakravarthy feels that sequels only work if the audience remembers the original film.
"Sequels or prequels, the content has to work. People have a certain expectation from a sequel. It acts as a recall value which is much more than a normal film. But the content has to work," he said.
Actress Manisha Koirala is also making her comeback with the film and, according to Chakravarthy, she has done a fabulous job in the movie.
"I never felt this was her comeback. Right from day one, she had complete control and command over the character. If you call it a comeback then, I would want every actor to comeback because the kind of performance she has given in the movie is outstanding," he said.
Currently he is busy with "the post-production of 'Bhoot Returns' as well".
"Till this finishes, I can't give time to something else. After this, I am looking forward to doing some good work."
'Bhoot Returns' is slated to hit theatres on October 12 this year.
