Akshay Kumar flags off MTV 'Roadies' show
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar flagged off the sixth season of MTV's adventure reality show 'Roadies' by assigning the 20 participants their first task - a commando obstacle race.
The episode will be aired Saturday, Jan 10 at 7p.m. on MTV.
"If you thought last year was twisted, season six of 'MTV Hero Honda Roadies-Hell Down Under' will make that look like a children's film. Akshay will unleash hell in an explosive start to what promises to be the biggest season of Roadies till date," Said Ashish Patil, general manager MTV India and senior vice-president creative and content.
This season the stakes are higher as the prize money has been doubled from Rs.500,000 to Rs.1 million. The participants will start their journey from New Delhi and travel to cities like Udaipur, Ahmedabad and Silvasa.
This year the show will go international when the participants travel to Adelaide, Australia. They will also go to Broken Hill, Gold Coast and Coffs Harbour to name a few.
Akshay earlier hosted the reality show 'Fear Factor'.

The Auto sector is up 297.32 points at 13,494.62 while the banking sector is up 255.43 points at 14,625.65 and the realty sector is up 40.59 points at 1,492.84. The Indian currency is down 0.02% at Rs 60.37 per dollar.
