Censor will not have issue with film 26/11: RGV
Mumbai: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is all set with his film 'The Attacks of 26/11', based on the real incident the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, says he is not worried about the censor board which will not have any issue with this film.
"There are two aspects to this film. It's captured the way it is and there is no conspiracy in it. I don't see there will be any issue from the censor board with this film. The visual effect might look a little hard hitting because of the violence or else I don't see any other issues," Ram Gopal Varma told IANS at a press conference for the film.
The release date of the film will be declared only once the film is approved by the censor board, he said.
"I feel it's eventually an attack on humanity and not on anything else. One will have to watch the film to get the core of it," he said about the film.
The filmmaker says that 'The Attacks of 26/11' is made after intense research, using three strong sources to make it look authentic.
"I had to research a lot for this film. There were three important sources and those were the eyewitnesses, police statements and judgment," he said.
Directed by Varma and produced by Alumbra Entertainment and Eros International, 'The Attacks of 26/11' features Nana Patekar, and Sanjeev Jaiswal among others and is slated for early next year.
