Abhishek hurt in accident

Abhishek Bachchan was rushed to Mumbai on Wednesday after the star met with an accident on the sets of his film in Jaipur.

The actor who was shooting there for 'Bol Bachchan' along with Ajay Devgn apparently injured his right eye and has sustained a deep gash above the eye while performing a stunt for the film. According to sources the accident happened late on Tuesday, but since it was a serious injury and surgery was required, the actor decided to fly down to Mumbai.

An insider reveals, "The gash is extremely close to the right eye and hence no one wanted to take a risk. It was decided that since surgery was required it would be best for the actor to get it done in Mumbai." Buzz is that the actor will be treated at the Lilavati hospital in Bandra.

A source on the sets says that the actor hurt himself while performing a rather risky stunt for the film. "Despite everyone insisting on him using a body double, Abhishek refused and ended up hurting himself. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where the injury was attended to, but he was told that surgery might be required. The actor's family insisted that he be brought back home for the surgery since it was quite a critical surgery," added the source.
