Laugh away with comedies this weekend

Movietalkies
None of them are big budget or star-studded offerings, but out of the three, 'Shirin Farhad...' is hogging the maximum limelight as it marks the acting debut of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan.
An unusual romantic-comedy, the story revolves around 45-year-old Farhad Pastakiya (Boman Irani), a Parsi bachelor, who has not found love. One fine day he meets 40-year-old Shirin Fugawala (Farah), and he falls in love at first sight.
But all hell breaks loose as Farhad's mother Nargis realises that her son's dream girl (Shirin) is her sworn enemy.
Co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunil A. Lulla, 'Shirin Farhad...' also marks the directorial debut of Bhansali's sister, Bela Sehgal.
Releasing alongside 'Shirin Farhad...' is 'From Sydney With Love', directed by Prateek Chakravorty, grandson of yesteryears' celebrated filmmaker Pramod Chakravorty.
Starring fresh faces, including Sharad Malhotra, Bidita Bag, Evelyn Sharma and Reshmi Ghosh, 'From Sydney...' is a family comedy.
In the film, Meghaa Banerjee (Bidita) flies to Sydney after getting a scholarship. She meets Rohit Khurana (Sharad) there and they gel well right from the start.
What follows is a fun, quirky and emotional love story.
After romantic and family comedy, there is 'Delhi In A Day', a dark comedy about the nouveau riche in Delhi.
'Delhi In...' is about a Bhatia family residing in a palatial mansion in south Delhi. It is a comedic portrayal of upper-class Delhi society, examining class differences in the context of a nouveau-riche, contemporary Delhi family home.
Directed by Indian-origin filmmaker Prashant Nair, the film has done well in the international festival circuit, and is being released by PVR Director's Rare and Blue Line Media.
'Delhi In...' features British actor Lee Williams and Indian actors Lillete Dubey, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Victor Banerjee and Anjali Patil.
