Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan's "Thalaivar Tribute (lungi dance)" from 'Chennai Express' is said to have received a nod by legendary actor Rajnikanth.

The song, by rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, pays a tribute to Rajnikanth, who is given the title Thalaivar (supreme leader) by his fans.

A source close to the film says, "Obviously if Shah Rukh is giving a tribute to Rajnikanth, due permissions have been taken. We hear that Rajnikanth sir has blessed the song and given a nod to it".

Directed by Rohit Shetty, 'Chennai Express' also features Deepika Padukone. It releases on August 9.
