Choreographer turned director Remo D'Souza reveals what’s in store for audiences in 'ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance'.
New Delhi: Remo D'Souza will pay tribute to evergreen actors like Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the first promo of 'ABCD - AnyBody Can Dance'. He will perform their signature dance moves.
Remo, along with the film's producers UTV Motion Pictures, has decided to cut a special promo for the film. The trailer will feature Remo performing signature steps of other actors like late Rajesh Khanna and Shammi Kapoor too.
"We are planning to cut some special promos. For decades, these actors have made our country dance to their steps, which have become trademarks of sorts. A tribute to these legends in a film like 'ABCD' seems apt," Remo said in a statement.
The 3D dance-based film features performers from reality show 'Dance India Dance', which Remo had previously judged.
The show's winners Salman Khan, Dharmesh, Prince, Mayuresh and Vrushali play central roles in the movie, which has ace choreographers Ganesh Acharya and Prabhu Deva as highlights. Prabhu Deva will be paying tribute to Michael Jackson by performing his signature moves in a song from the film.
Meanwhile, the makers are still in talks with Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit, who they want to rope in for a number with Prabhu Deva. The two last danced together for the song, "Que sera sera" in the 2000 film 'Pukar'.
