Grandson of the great Raj Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor strode into the film industry in 2007 and dazzled critics and audiences with his natural acting ability, his comfort in front of the camera and his easy good looks.
Ranbir made his foray into the film industry behind the camera, rather than in front of it by assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his 2005 film 'Black'. He was then given a chance to play the lead in Bhansali's next film and although Ranbir's debut film, 'Saawariya', opposite Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor, was a flop, there was no ignoring his appeal and talent. Ranbir's career did pick up with his next film, in which he starred with his girlfriend Deepika Padukone.
In the past, Ranbir had gone out with Avantika Malik who's currently engaged to the very popular Imran Khan. Over the past year though, he's been committed to Deepika and the easy-on-the-eyes pair has appeared in some TV commercials together as well.
