Even before they were romantically involved (to the best of our knowledge), Abhishek and Aishwarya had appeared in two (flop) films together - 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ka' and 'Kuch Naa Kaho'.
'Bunty aur Babli': Technically speaking, Aishwarya was in this Shaad Ali film (starring Abhishek; Rani Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan) for all of seven minutes. However, those 7 minutes turned out to be the most scintillating ones of this super hit.
'Dhoom 2': Sanjay Gadhvi's gadgetry-meets-crime thriller was the highest grossing film of the year, and starred Abhishek as ACP Jai Dixit and Aishwarya as Sunheri, the master thief. The two, however, were not paired opposite each other; Aishwarya got to romance (and make out with) the Adonis of India, Hrithik Roshan! Abhishek had to share home with Rimi Sen.
'Guru': Mani Ratnam's fictionalised account of Dhirubhai Ambani's life gave Abhishek Bachchan a chance to shine like never before. He played Gurukant Desai, a villager who rises from the streets to become a business tycoon. Supporting him was Aishwarya, in the role of Gurukant's wife, Sujata.
'Sarkar Raj': This gritty thriller that served as a sequel to the 2004 hit, 'Sarkar'; repeated most of the actors from the original, including the senior and junior Bachchans. The new addition to the cast was real life bahu Aishwarya. The film was both a critical and commercial hit.
The 'Lux Ad': No amount of soap or water can douse the glam fire, as this beautiful couple frolic on the small screen.
