Showmakers must be allowed an occasional indulgence: Perhaps Sanjay Leela Bhansali must be excused for making this movie, which raised 'humungous' expectations that proved to be its biggest liability. Had the film been downplayed, had its mis en scene been better explained, had its surreal fantasy mode been better relayed to the out-of-depth Bollywood reviewers, this Ranbir Kapoor film would have stood a chance in not repelling the masses! Well, in hindsight, it would have been easier not to have made some movies at all.
