This is still considered by many as the mother of all break-ups. The Ash-Sallu love story could beat any Bollywood Masala movie, in its unflinching adherence to formula. The tale had "drama, tragedy, romance, action and emotion" in liberal measures. It had a dream beginning (Miss World-meets-Mr. Handsome) but went awry and ended in anti-climax, with both the parties agreeing to live happily ever after (without each other, of course!).
