Legendary Hollywood comedian Robin Williams passed away this week at the age of 63. Police have confirmed that the star took his own life.

Williams was open about his long-standing battle with drugs and alcohol abuse, saying in 2010: “It’s just literally being afraid. And you think, oh, [the alcohol] will ease the fear. And it doesn’t.”
