Best wind machine: Carrie Underwood

With Mariah Carey and Beyonce between albums, it was up to country singer Carrie Underwood to hold down the windblown look. Not only did Underwood perform her windy new single 'Blown Away' in what looked like a taffeta prom dress with flow-y strips of fabric dangling from her wrists, she did so in front of a wall of 12 industrial fans that whipped up a hurricane of smoke and confetti.
