Breaking Bad
Downton Abbey
Game of Thrones
Homeland
House of Cards
Mad Men

Who should win? Game of Thrones

Who will win? Homeland

Why? The races in every category this year are insanely tight. Surprisingly, the best series race isn’t that complicated – but we’re sure the Emmys voters can make it so. Out of the different series, Game of Thrones had the best season, hands down. Yes, Breaking Bad is arguably a better show overall. And yes, it had another great season but it was a weak season by Breaking Bad standards and was not as strong as Thrones’ third season. There were so many great character and story moments this season -- culminating in the cultural phenomenon of 'The Red Wedding' – the show fully came into its own. It’s all for nothing though as Emmy voters will probably just default to last year’s Homeland choice – despite the show’s wildly erratic and unsatisfying season.
