For Your Eyes Only (1981): 'For Your Eyes Only' by Sheena Easton
US new wave outfit Blondie had designs on singing the theme tune for For Your Eyes Only, and even wrote a song with that name in the hope it would be used in the film's opening sequence. However, producers preferred an alternative song by songwriters Bill Conti and Mike Leeson, which Blondie turned down the offer to record. Scottish singer Sheena Easton eventually sang Conti and Leeson's song in the film, and Blondie's track ended up on their 1982 album The Hunter.
Easton is the only singer of a Bond theme to have appeared in the opening credits in person, and Roger Moore deemed her sexier than the female actresses in the movie.
