Miley Cyrus launches her album Bangerz in New York
Even Miley’s official album launch event at Planet Hollywood in New York was a talking point, thanks to her trademark naughty poses and barely-there outfit. The star greeted hundreds of fans at the event and signed copies of the album (with her tongue poking out, natch).
Miley’s fourth album, which came out on 8 October, has already trended on Twitter worldwide several times and it even reached the top of the iTunes chart BEFORE it was officially released. That’s not bad going. Each of the 13 tracks had appeared in the top 100 on the charts, too.
Her new single 'Wrecking Ball' went straight to the top two of both the iTunes and Amazon charts after just a couple of hours on sale. The album’s lead single 'We Can’t Stop' has already been a huge success since it was released in June.
But is this ultimate coming of age album actually any good, twerking and desperate attempts to distance herself from her Disney alter ego Hannah Montana aside?
We investigate what the critics have been saying, what her fans have been saying and also what us lot at MSN Music actually make of Bangerz…
