Ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar yesterday unveiled 'Sampoorna Sachin', the autobiography of actor-director Sachin Pilgaonkar.
The book launch, held in Mumbai, was a star-studded affair with Bollywood and Indian television biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Ramesh Sippy, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kanwaljit Singh, Bappi Lahiri, Ashutosh Rana, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Nigam, among others in attendance.
Sachin Pilgaonkar is best known for the TV series 'Kahan Gaye Woh Log' and comedy show 'Tu Tu Main Main'. He has also acted in Bollywood and Marathi films like 'Balika Badhu', 'Geet Gaata Chal', 'Nadiya Ke Paar', 'Sholay', 'Satte Pe Satta', 'Ashta Vinayak' and 'Paaradh'. Sachin turned director with Marathi film ‘Mai Baap’ (1982).
Talking about his autobiography, Sachin, who completes 50 years in the showbiz industry in 2013, said, “I have a lot to share and everyone will know about my experiences in Marathi and Hindi cinema through this book."
