Morena Baccarin (Homeland)
Christine Baranski (The Good Wife)
Amelia Clarke (Game of Thrones)
Anna Gun (Breaking Bad)
Christina Hendricks (Mad Men)
Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey)

Who should win: Anna Gunn

Who will win: Anna Gunn

Why: The Skyler hate was extreme in the first few seasons but by season five, viewers could actually begin to sympathise with Skyler as they realized that Walter isn’t exactly someone you should be rooting for. He’s done far too much damage at this point. While Emmy voters may favour Smith (it’s Maggie Smith afterall), Gunn deserves the Emmy for her silently intense portrayal in the first half of Breaking Bad’s final season where Skyler’s depression sank, just as she tried to drown herself in the pool during the infamous dinner scene with the Shraders. Skyler’s behaviour surprised even Jesse, during yet another awkward dinner scene.
