Fifty Shades of Grey movie - what we know so far
Dakota Johnson has won the lead role of Anastasia Steele in the forthcoming Hollywood adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. She'll be paired with Pacific Rim'sCharlie Hunnam as Christian Grey.
The erotic novel by the British writer EL James is a huge worldwide sensation. It is little wonder that it's heading for the silver screen, and Nowhere Boy's Sam Taylor-Johnson is signed up to direct.
Since the film project was first revealed, numerous stars have been linked to the lead characters of Steele and Grey.
Actors who were linked by the press to the part of Anastasia included Alexis Bledel and Mila Kunis, while Ryan Gosling and Ian Somerhalder (of The Vampire Diaries fame) were fancied for Christian. However, it's Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam who have emerged triumphant, bagging their biggest movie roles to date.
Charlie Hunnam found fame in the UK drama Queer as Folk before heading to Hollywood to star in the biker drama Sons of Anarchy. But who exactly is Dakota Johnson?
