Can two people with different objectives in life have a happily ever after?
This is what director Punit Malhotra's film 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' tries to understand, but in a light, slice-of-life and colourful manner.
The trailer of the Karan Johar production was launched on September 10.
It is full of colour, some rustic flavour and seems to be a typical Bollywood potboiler complete with songs and dance.
'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' jodi Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor are back on the big screen with the film, albeit in a role reversal of sorts.
Here, Imran's character is a party loving and a high-on-life person, while Kareena plays the role of a focussed patriotic social worker, who gives utmost importance to national issues.
In a bid to win Kareena's heart and prove his love for her, Imran goes after her to a remote village to bring her back to the city. His escapades and adventure seem to be the fun factor in the film.
While Imran looks like the boy-next-door, Kareena's understated look as a social activist definitely makes you sit up and notice her distinct style statement which has a designer touch courtesy Manish Malhotra.
As an overview of the trailer, one ends up feeling it gives out too much of the plot's movie in its two minutes and fifty second-long trailer.
What one has to wait and watch for is whether 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' has much more to offer.
