We were super excited about David Bowie's long-awaited return to music, but not everyone could share our enthusiasm for his latest offering, The Next Day. Following last month's release of the album's titular single, the Catholic League threw shade at Bowie's music video for being filled with Christian iconography, which included him dressed as a Christ-like figure, Gary Oldman as a bishop and Marion Cotillard suffering with a gory stigmata. In a scathing rant posted to the Catholic League's website, president Bill Donohue (the same guy who took offense at Minaj's Grammy performance) not-so-eloquently called the video a "mess" and Bowie a "switch-hitting, bisexual, senior citizen from London."
