Is someone killing the Watchmen? That’s what the paranoid Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) thinks after his colleague The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is murdered. But The Comedian’s death was simply the unfortunate fallout of a plan being unfolded by fellow Watchman Adrian Veidt, a.k.a. Ozymandias. Long retired from crime fighting, Ozymandias killed The Comedian after he discovered Veidt’s plan to destroy the world’s major cities and blame it on Dr. Manhattan, the only Watchman with real super powers. But Veidt’s betrayal of his former colleagues is justified, he says, by his ends: to unite the war-torn world against a common enemy: Dr. Manhattan.
