What it predicted: Space travel.

Shot decades before NASA had even dreamed of putting man on the moon, this German shot film made giant leaps in forecasting how space travel might work, thanks largely to a bonafide rocket scientist who was part of the production team. Amongst its predictions the movie featured the basics of space-travel including a multi-stage rocket that used liquid fuel to escape the atmosphere. The film also features a crew counting down from 10 to zero prior to lift-off long before it became a common occurrence on launchpads.
