1964: Becomes lead vocalist of The Beatles

In 1964, Beatlemania swept through the UK and US as The Beatles began to tour. Their popularity escalated within months as they were being recognized for their individual charisma and talent. McCartney had the privilege of a better musical education, having studied classical piano and guitar in his childhood. With his obvious talents, McCartney became the lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist of the band.
