The Daily Mail reports she was diagnosed with an E.coli infection that left her seriously ill. She was treated at London's Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and once on the mend, Johnny showed his gratitude in a way only he could.

During his promo tour for 2007's Pirates of the Caribbean, he dressed up as his character, Captain Jack Sparrow, and visited the children still in the hospital. He followed up this generous act with yet another - by donating £1m to the hospital.
