Veteran star Michael Caine's background is altogether more gritty than the suburban comfort of the aforementioned young stars. Now a knight of the realm, Sir Michael was brought up on a run-down housing estate in the Elephant and Castle area of Walworth in the London Borough of Southwark. Caine returned to the estate for his 2009 film Harry Brown.
