Katy Perry had seemingly tamed bad boy Russell Brand, but after a year their whirlwind romance ended when Brand filed for divorce from the pop star claiming 'irreconcilable differences.' The rumours emerged after the couple has spent Christmas apart, minus their wedding rings. Brand released a statement after the announcement saying: 'Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends.'

The estranged couple remained very tight lipped since the split, but in Katy Perry's new movie documentary Part of Me, she decided to leave in the footage that tracked the beginning and end of her relationship with Brand. Ok, so it may not have been too surprising giving Brand's background, but we had hope!
