Tom Hardy's early career
A fresh-faced Tom Hardy first hit TV screens when he won a modelling competition at the age of 21. His interest in acting began at Richmond Drama School and as his interest developed, he enrolled at the Drama Centre London in 1998 to pursue acting as a career. He dropped out early after he won the role of Private John Janovec in the award-winning miniseries 'Band of Brothers'. He battled drug and alcohol dependency in his early to mid-twenties, before finally entering a rehab clinic. He has been sober and clean since 2003.
