On September 28, 2002, a Toyota Land Cruiser allegedly driven by Salman, had crushed a group of people sleeping on a pavement outside a bakery in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four.

The case, dragging on for over a decade, took a twist in July this year when Salman Khan was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Earlier this month, the Court ordered a fresh trial in the case.

A case was also filed against Salman, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam for poaching two blackbuck in the intervening night of October 1 and 2, 1998 in Kankani village near Jodhpur during the shooting of 'Hum Saath Saath 'Hain'.
