John Milius' 1984 World War III epic tells the tale of the invasion of the USA by the Soviet Union and its allies, and the guerilla-style resistance put up by a group of American high school students. Playing on the swirling fears of communism in U.S society and popular culture at the time, as well as featuring the likes of Patrick Swayze and a young Charlie Sheen, 'Red Dawn' is definitely one of the most '80s films of its time.
