Bollywood pays respect to Ashok Mehta
The last rites of ace cinematographer Ashok Mehta were performed on Friday afternoon.
Mehta, who passed away August 15 following lung cancer, was cremated around 1.30 p.m. at the Municipal Hindu Smashan Bhoomi in Santa Cruz. He was 65.
A bevy of Bollywood celebrities was present to pay their last respect to one of the country's best cinematographer. Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Shashi Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi and Raza Murad were among others.
Mehta was known for shooting films like 'Bandit Queen', '36 Chowringhee Lane', 'Utsav', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Khalnayak' and M.F. Husain's 'Gaja Gamini'.
