In 1994 Green Day performed at the VMAs, in 2005 Green Day performed at the VMAs, so naturally in 2012. . . Green Day performed at the VMAs. Sure, they're all in their 40s, but makeup can hide all manner of sins and age spots so that the threesome could rock this decade. We were even surprised to see some of the pre-teen mosh pit (let's just call it 'mosh pit' since we're on a '90s throwback) mouthing the lyrics.
