Despite his fear of being typecast, Connery managed to carve out a highly successful acting career after departing the Bond series. During the 1970s he appeared in classic films including The Man Who Would Be King and Murder on The Orient Express, and starred alongside the likes of Sir Laurence Olivier, Dirk Bogard, James Caan and Michael Caine in Richard Attenborough's A Bridge Too Far.
