Having proved his mettle as casually violent Scottish hardman Begbie in Trainspotting, Robert Carlyle (left) was cast as Renard, a terrorist out to monopolise the oil market and destroy Istanbul into the bargain. Sophie Marceau (far right) played billionaire's daughter Elekra King, out to slice herself a bit of daddy's fortune. Denise Richards (second from right) played the plucky Bond girl in this installment, but would her Lara Croft-esque outfit be enough to help her take on the baddies?
