Perez Hilton and Will.i.am

Who needs police when you have Twitter? Late one night in 2009, Perez Hilton tweeted that Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am had just attacked him. "I was assaulted by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No Joke." He also posted a video of himself crying as he described the attack and said there were multiple witnesses.

A couple of hours later Will.i.am denied the accusations - not to police, but to his Twitter followers. "I just made a Twitter account because it isn't cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies..." He also uploaded a video message to the site, denying he'd hit Perez and saying the blogger had twisted the truth.
