Isle of Wight Festival

Hendrix returned to the UK in 1970 and played the Isle of Wight Festival with Mitch Mitchell back behind the drums. It was said to be reminiscent of his early playing days. Hendrix then left the Isle of Wight for a tour of Europe. Billy Cox the bassist had a nervous breakdown and was flown back to the states, so the last concert was never played on the tour and Hendrix returned to London on the 14 September.
